We are proud to announce the launch of our new Discovery pages. Using smarter algorithms, cleaner design, advanced filtering and presorted categories, the design changes will help you find and track films and other members more easily. Read on for the specifics.
BUZZ & INFLUENCE SCORING
The more people that track you or your film, the higher your score. Although now, your score will improve according to how influential the people are that do the tracking. A film's BUZZ and a person's INFLUENCE score are calculated using a modified version of an open-source ranking algorithm.
TRENDING ACTIVITY
Want to find out the newest films or people climbing the ranks? We've added a category to the discovery pages sorted by how many influential people are tracking, or have been added to the film, over the last 30 days. You can also easily find the projects/people that have the most buzz/influence in the community.
'PACKAGED' RANKING
Films require more than financing to get made. In order to find the films that have the most in place, you can now sort by how "packaged" a film is. For a film to be fully packaged on Slated it needs: CAST; CREW; a SALES AGENT; some FINANCING secured; and a DISTRIBUTOR (i.e. a presale). Each asset earns one bar.

VIEW NOTABLE CAST AND CREW
Now you can discover projects based on the talent the filmmakers have gathered. Whether it's a name actor, known director or seasoned producer, you can easily view films based on the team being assembled by the filmmaker. Simply select "NOTABLE CAST" or "NOTABLE CREW" on the People page.
ADVANCED FILTERING
You have specific needs and interests. Use our tagging system to specify exactly what you are looking for. Select multiple tags and tabs to narrow your search even further. Plus you can now search people by what they're "INTERESTED IN', e.g. search for an investor in the United States interested in French-language documentaries.
SEARCH BY INTERESTS
You're now able to search people by what they are interested in. So you can now finally find that New York-based investor, that is looking for French-language documentaries.
